A recently concluded study has identified Stanford University as the higher learning institution that offer most cryptocurrency-related programs worldwide.
The research was conducted by Coinbase digital exchange in partnership with Qriously. The survey discovered that crypto-related courses are gaining traction in tertiary learning centers. Moreover, these institutions have diversified this are into multiple disciplines.
According to the report, more than 40% of the 50 top-rated universities worldwide offer at least one course pertaining blockchain technology or digital currencies. The scope of the research covered undergraduate programs, including the ones to begin in autumn 2018.
As mentioned above, the classes were spared out among several disciplines. These are as follows:

As per Coinbase, universities are transforming into a research center for cryptos and distributed ledger technology to meet the growing demand and educate individuals on the basics of cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
Similar to its peers, Stanford University has established several crypto courses. Since it is located close to the Silicon Valley, Stanford is understandably the leading institution offering such programs.
Undoubtedly, the introduction of blockchain technology in Stanford has created new learning avenues that were hitherto unexplored. Coming behind Stanford University in the rankings is the Cornell University which is situated at Ithaca, New York. Had the study included cryptography, digital currencies and blockchain, Cornell University would have topped the list with 28 programs.
Lastly, Coinbase found out that 9% of students are pursuing a crypto-related course, 18% own digital assets and 26% are likely to enroll for a course regarding virtual currencies. The 10 top –ranked universities offering crypto-related courses are:
