Cornucopia, a blockchain project focused on making it easy for investors to acquire pre-IPO shares of their favorite firms have now hired tZero’s Joe Cammarata to their team.

Cammarata will now function as the Chief Market Strategist of the platform, bringing with him years of experience in the traditional finance world into Cornucopia.

The highly experienced personnel started his career at Datek, where he handled NASDAQ market orders. He also created an internal system that is now known as the Island ECN.

Joe Cammarata helped grow the Datek Online platform for several years before it was sold to Ameritrade for about $1.4 billion.

He later co-founded Sonic Trading and functioned as the CEO until the Bank of New York acquired it in 2004.

Joe also served as CEO of SpeedRoute and president of tZero.

Founder of Cornucopia, Carsten Klein said that:

“Joe and I have worked together for several years, and he was heavily involved in building the PTN platform with me. I am excited to have him as part of the team on the Cornucopia project.”

The co-founder of Ignite, Christopher Cousins also said that:

‘Having known Joe and Carsten for some time, I know this is the dream team to take Cornucopia to market. For us at Ignite, we look forward to Cornucopia using our tech to offer pre-IPO opportunities to the crypto market.”

Cornucopia will be built upon the Ignite Rating system. The platform is already in its Beta phase. In order to be able to participate in the ratings and pre-IPO system, all Cornucopia token holders are required to purchase Horn tokens, as it will give them access to the platform.  

The Cornucopia linked Index will invest in only highly rated assets and all Horn token holders who voted in favor of the asset will receive specific percentages from the gains made trading such assets.

For now, the Cornucopia team is yet to fix a specific date for their ICO, but they have hinted that the event could come up in September 2018.
