The Great Chinese Crypto-Whale Assaulted Binance, Big.One NEO, TRX and QTUM

As if it were the story of Moby Dick frustrating the plans of the Pequod against Ahab, Ishmael and Queequeg; in the same way, the biggest crypto-whale in China “hits” Binance, NEO, TRX, QTUM and Big.One.

One of the most important investors in cryptocurrencies, Li Xiaolai, is rumored to be the person with the most Bitcoins in China. To the surprise of many, a private conversation of his was recorded in secret and has now leaked out.

In the audio you can hear Xiaolai criticizing various cryptocurrencies, where he offends both their creators and their communities.

The Blasphemies Of An Investor

Although he is known as a calm man, he is also known to be a very bad-spoken man, which has now shocked the general public. Here are some transcriptions of the audio of what Li Xiaolai said:

About Lao Mao, CEO of Big.One:

“Lao Mao was a nobody; it is me who help him to be somebody in the crypto world.”

About Qtum:

“Patrick Shuai’s Qtum is an “air coin,” it is me who helped him promote Qtum for six months. Because his scamming mode is simple. If he decided to develop DAPP first, I might have given no care.”

About Adopters:

“Blockchain founders should be at least Internet Celebrity, fans-flow is the core competition, and other factors are all bullshit. As long as those idiots believe in you, there will be consensus and what you need to do is to continue cheating them.”

About NEO:

“NEO is also a stupid project, worthless; if you were Wang Lijie [a famous angel investor in China], you would have sold them at 1.5 RMB. But why did its price went up so high? Just because some significant venture capital participated in it and hyped its price. Even Da Hongfei [CEO of Onchain Capital] himself is holding very little NEO”

About Tron (TRX):

“After you have already achieved financial freedom, what keeps you moving on is you’re unwilling to let the No.1 feeling go. For example, there is a fraud exchange called Binance and a scammer called Justin Sun (Founder of TRON), how could you allow yourself to lag behind the?! You have to work harder and faster.” Tron.

About Binance and CZ:

“Zhao Changpeng (founder of Binance) is not a good guy; he used to have dirty deals with Xu MingXing (founder of OKEX). He knows very little about technical issues. Binance made its name because all the crypto exchanges had to shut down upon the crypto ban last September in China, but he insisted on keeping Binance operating only for his Canadian nationality”

Community Reactions

In response to the series of insults by the great Chinese whale, the community and the captains of industry were quick to react in defense of what Li Xiaolai considers to be “fools” and “deceivers”.

In short, people like He Yi, co-founder of Binance, Justin Sun, founder of Tron, Patrick Shuai, founder of Qtum, Lao Mai himself CEO of Big.one, among others, have been defending themselves in the last few hours about what Li Xiaolai argues.

It is well known that in the eye of a scammer, everyone else is a scammer; in the eye of an idiot, everyone else is an idiot. And it's amazing to see how Mr. Xiaolai can say what he says about companies like Binance, which made a name for their solid technology, products and users.

Certainly, to take Binance as an example, they certainly have a lot to improve, but the claim that Zhao Changpeng is not a good guy is too far away and lacks proof, because he has always shown the opposite. The appearance of such an incident indicates that the industry has entered a period of stagnation, and someone is out there using this to get attention.

Companies such as TRON have previously been the subject of false accusations. It is common to see such practices or statements by a dirty marketing campaign or strategy. In the case of declaring a coin as a Qtum as an “air coin”, this is an argument without sufficient proves, since its mainnet has been launched in 2017 with more than 7,000 Proof-of-Stake (PoS) nodes in 56 countries.

Li “Apologized” After What Happened

After learning that his conversation had leaked out, Li Xiaolai apologized for the language used. Yet, he has not made manifest the fact that he thinks differently from what he said. Nor did he apologize for categorizing coins as scams and some of their creators as fools or deceivers.

In a post from Weibo, Li said this was all very embarrassing. He excused himself to the public because he says a lot of profanity when speaking in private, he said. He also claimed that he liked to study how to curse in several languages, and gave the example of Americans can utter a sentence with all fuck words in a row: “FUCK FUCKING FUCKER”.

“I’d like to avoid those dirty words in public speaking, but in private, I don’t have to bother to please others,” he concluded.
