The US Senate recently decided not to amend the bill in regards to the cryptocurrency taxation that is interpreted by the community as very damaging for certain members. The decision was greeted with rage by the crypto industry’s participants, with some even willing to take the matter to the streets, as they feel the authorities have failed them.

Interestingly, Charles Hoskinson, the creator of Cardano (ADA/USD) and CEO of IOHK, also finds himself in this group. Hoskinson published more than one angry tweet about making phone calls that he expects will result in a rally in Washington D.C.

I think it's about time we get a rally going in Washington DC. I'm going to make some phone calls. More on this later

As some likely know, a number of Senators, including Bernie Sanders (D-VT) and Richard Shelby (R-AL) stood up against the amendment, supposedly because they could not agree about military spending. Hoskinson, on the other hand, decided that enough is enough, and that “these 87-year-old living fossils,” as he called them, are showing to the world that they are willing to sell the future of the country’s economy.

Hoskinson did not hold his rage back, and he declared that he has no intention of living in a ‘dying empire.’ However, he also doesn’t want to relocate to another country. So, the billionaire came to the conclusion that fighting is the only thing left to do.

The community’s reactions to Hoskinson’s battle cries differed from extreme support to warnings about what might happen if he goes through with his intentions.

Like a "storm the capital, stop the steal" type rally? Best to re-think that.

And, of course, there were also those who don’t expect to see any difference, but would rather see Hoskinson return his focus on developing Cardano, rather than challenging the lawmakers.
