BTT Team Announcement On Fraudulent Websites Offering BitTorrent Airdrops And ICOs

The BitTorrent team released an announcement on January 28th, 2019 thanking crypto fans for the enthusiasm they had displayed towards the BTT project. In the announcement, the team stated that since news broke out on the 3rd of January pertaining to the release of the new BTT token, they had noticed an increase in the number of fraudulent websites, airdrops, and ICOs purporting to offer the BTT (BitTorrent) token.

It goes on to state that the team has been actively working to ensure that these fraudulent websites are brought down. They would also like to warn the public against engaging such platforms due to the risks associated with taking part in such initiatives. Top among these risks involves the loss of one’s hard-earned money.

Official Release And Airdrop Program

Community members interested in taking part in the BitTorrent launch should note that it will be officially be made available through the airdrop program. In addition to this, it will start trading on the twelfth day of February 2019. As of now, the list of exchanges where it will be trading has not yet been finalized.

But as soon as this is done, it will be published online via the official BitTorrent website, as well as on the social networking accounts. Interested cryptocurrency enthusiasts should note that uTorrent, BitTorrent, the TRON Foundation, and Justin Sun will never ask them to send tokens in advance with the hope of receiving the BTT token once it goes on sale.
