We were all thinking it: What crypto really needs is Ronaldhino.

Well the wait is over my friends. The Brazilian football star and two time FIFA World Player of the Year known for his fancy footwork on the field now brings his electrifying presence to the cryptosphere. The Ronaldinho Soccer Coin (RSC) Project, in collaboration with World Soccer Coin (WSC), will be up for private sale on July 15th followed by the token’s first crowd sale on August 6th.

The Ronaldhino Soccer Coin is built on the NEO platform and is aimed at becoming the ‘common currency of the soccer world’. The RSC coin is designed to fuel a complete ecosystem dubbed ‘Planet RSC’.

There will be a total supply of 350 million RSC coins, 150 million of which will be offered in the private sale starting July 15th. The team behind the RSC has yet to publish a white paper, however, the token works as follows:

Token holders, pending on geographical location, will become members of networks referred to as ‘digital stadiums’. Digital stadiums will be assigned to ‘RSC Super Leagues’ which will award prize money to token holders. The RSC token hopes to attract participants from Esports teams, sports academies, and e-commerce sites.

The RSC token can be used to purchase a number of goods online including digital content using virtual and augmented reality, training programs at Ronaldhino’s Soccer Academy, and WSC-backed support for football teams, players, and Ronaldhino’s charity project.

Ronaldhino described his excitement for the new RSC coin on the company website:

“Ever since I thought of retiring, I started to think about my life after retirement. I also thought of what I can do. Soccer has always been a part of my life… Out of gratitude, I want to deliver dreams, hope and smiles to people around the world through soccer and music…

I want to bring a smile to as many people as possible through this project. I wish as many people as possible will have dream and hope and become happy. I wish to contribute to the world as much as I can during my short life.”
