Bitpanda To Go, which is a Vienna-based startup, has partnered with branches of Osterreichische Post to provide offline crypto buying services to users. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Dash are some of the digital currencies that will be available for purchase. Initially, users can buy cryptocurrencies for 50, 100 or 500 euros.

Over 1,800 post branches in the country will allow crypto purchase services. Users will be allowed to buy only in three denominations. After the purchase, customers will get a receipt that can be entered on bitpanda.com/Togo. The website doesn’t charge an additional fee for the purchase and shows current exchange rate for the cryptocurrencies.

Users can sign up for the service using a valid email address. Once done, they select a cryptocurrency and enter a code. The amount is immediately transferred to their wallet. It brings a new concept of “prepaid cryptocurrency” to Austria.

To keep prices fair, Osterreichische Post allows Bitpanda to offer digital currencies to users at cost. It helps offline cash purchases match online prices. The move could help make people accept cryptocurrencies, especially if they do not have favorable views about online purchases.

Bitpanda was initially known as Coinimal, which founded in 2014 to help crypto enthusiasts buy digital currencies in the European Union easily. In 2017, it introduced an ETH sell” feature which helps users convert Ethereum to fiat currencies through their bank accounts.

Since most exchanges operating in the country are either U.S.-based or offer only crypto-to-crypto trading, ETH sell offers an easy way to cash digital assets. The company also provides a Bitcoin wallet and Ethereum wallet and, recently, incorporated Dash and Litecoin as well.
