XRP is sitting around $3.01 today, down just over 2% in the last 24 hours. It hasn’t been making any big moves lately, but traders are watching closely as the token hovers near the $3 mark. The market overall has been quieter too, which makes calls for big rallies stand out even more.

One of those calls comes from popular analyst CryptoBull, who shared a chart pointing to a potential XRP move toward the $7–$8 range in the coming weeks. It’s a bold target, especially with the token still stuck below $4. But his chart highlights a classic setup that has traders talking.

On the daily chart, XRP has formed what looks like a large cup-and-handle pattern. The rounded bottom stretched across late 2024 into early 2025, showing long consolidation after earlier rallies. Over the summer, the price climbed toward $3.80 before pulling back. Now XRP is moving sideways, forming the “handle” part of the setup.

This pattern is usually bullish. If XRP can break out above the $3.80 level, the measured move points much higher, which is where the $7–$8 projection comes from.

The near-term picture is more restrained. Right now, the first line of defense is the $2.90–$3.00 zone. XRP has tested that level a few times, and each time buyers stepped in. Losing it would be a warning sign that the structure is weakening.

On the upside, $3.80 remains the key barrier. Traders will be looking for a decisive close above that mark, ideally with strong volume, before giving more weight to the $7–$8 call.

CryptoBull’s forecast might sound ambitious, but it’s not entirely out of line with what many XRP supporters already expect. The token has struggled for years to reclaim its old all-time high of $3.84, set back in January 2018. Clearing that level could spark momentum, and if buyers return in force, $5 would be the first logical step before any move toward $7–$8.

Still, the market hasn’t confirmed anything yet. For now, XRP is just ranging, and patience is key. If the breakout comes, the upside could be dramatic. But until then, it’s about watching the levels and waiting for price to show its hand.
