Blockchain developers are going to be a necessary part of the industry to keep it moving along, and there are many opportunities to receive education on this technology. However, Tari Labs decided to make it possible for interested individuals to get the support that they need from a free online university. Tari Labs was part of a development from Riccardo Spagni, who is a blockchain expert and a promoter for Monero. American investors Naiveen Jain and Dan Teree has also gotten involved with the project.

The main goal of the Tari Labs program is to focus on the endpoint experience of digital assets, including in-game items, digital collectibles, loyalty points, and more. Jain believes the blockchain technology has a “great use case” with digital assets, but he also thinks that, right now, there is “an opportunity for a frictionless experience.” It would allow users to store and transfer digital assets, but with rules outlined by the sellers. After the group established that none of the current protocols would work with the solutions that they needed, they developed the Tari protocol.

With the introduction of a free blockchain university, they believe that Tari Labs could be a major part of the way that blockchain technology advances and how open source developers progress as well.

While discussing the project, Senior Contributor Cayle Sharrock said,

“Tari Labs University aims to become a go-to destination for easily-accessible learning material for blockchain, digital currency and digital assets, from beginner to advanced level. The more blockchain experts we can develop, the better it is for the ecosystem as a whole.”

Right now, Tari Labs is calling their project “the most useful decentralized platform that empowers anyone to create digitally scarce things people love.” It offers a level of flexibility for transfers. Sharrock said that the whole efforts of Tari Labs and the newly conceived university provide an opportunity for more developers to acquire the blockchain skills that will support the Tari protocol.

Sharrock said,

“Tari Labs gives talented people the chance to develop their abilities. The Tari Labs University is a natural next step in sharing knowledge and learning from the community in turn. As with any open source project, we see the learning material as living or ever-evolving. The bigger picture here is to assist in constructing an ecosystem for developers and enable them to leverage the Tari protocol.”
