В сети Bitcoin Gold состоялся хардфорк

Разработчики Bitcoin Gold заявили об успешном хардфорке сети, который должен минимизировать риски атаки 51%, на блоке 536200. Сеть перешла на алгоритм Equihash-BTG, позволяющий не опасаться активности ASIC-майнеров.

Представители проекта пояснили, что модифицированный алгоритм Equihash-BTG 32 не только не работает с ASIC-майнерами, но и поддерживает персонализацию, что усложняет переадресацию майнинговых мощностей через “хэширующие рынки”. Таким образом сети обчеспечена большая безопасность.

Вместе с тем примененный улучшенный алгоритм корректировки сложности (LWMA) позволит блокчейну Bitcoin Gold быстрее реагировать на изменения и стабилизировать блоки.

Напомним, что криптовалюта Bitcoin Gold отделилась от биткоина в октябре 2017 года. Запуск основной сети состоялся в ноябре того же года. А в конце мая этого года неизвестный майнер успешно выполнил в сети Bitcoin Gold атаку двойного расходования средств.
