We are delighted to inform the BTCU community and the public about the launch of BTCU Testnet (Test Network), on 21st January 2021. The objective of the operation is to identify vulnerabilities of the application that could lead to security breaches, by allowing the public to take part in the assessment of the BTCU Blockchain Application and its Source Code.

This exercise is geared towards the fork scheduled on 5th February 2021. The comprehensive network testing will enable developers to test, create, or modify functionalities and monitor the BTCU blockchain network performance. This will help provide an objective and independent view of the network to enable parties and businesses to appreciate and understand the network’s capabilities.

Again, it will help us predict the operation of the network as well as provide stakeholders with information about the quality of the BTCU blockchain in terms of Security and Privacy, Capabilities, Usability, Integration and Interoperability.
