Google has removed 7 ‘stalkerware’ apps from its Play Store

Google has pulled seven tracking apps from the Play Store after Avast, a cybersecurity company, found they allowed people to stalk on their employees, children, or partner.

Google officially names Android 9 ‘Pie’, rolling out to Pixels today and other devices this fall

Google has finally let the cat out of the bag: its ninth version of Android, codenamed Android P, is called Pie – and you can get it right now if you’ve got a Pixel phone. After Apple did a similar thing, Google have decided to update their Play Store policies which has resulted in banning apps which mine cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, XRP, and Ethereum. This move comes a few weeks after Apple introduced their own changes to the polices to the App Store Review Guidelines with a new section regarding the restriction of cryptocurrency mining apps.
