A group of community members and Block Producers decided to unveil the so called EOS Alliance. The group aims to unlock the full potential of the EOS virtual currency. The main intention is to build a platform for collaborative, transparent decision-making and information-sharing within the EOS community.

The non profit entity will be streamlining and making communication easier for those interested in EOS. Moreover, the purpose is to facilitate education among the community, including EOS token holders, Block Producers, application creators and other stakeholders.

According to the official press release, the Alliance will be facilitating multi-language conversations and education about key topics about development, issues affecting the network, and more.

Additionally, it will refrain from draining executive power in the EOS governance structures. Furthermore, the EOS Alliance will also facilitate discussions and help work groups make clear recommendations.

At the moment, the EOS Alliance is forming different working groups with the participation of the community.

At the beginning, the Alliance will be launching with just seven members on its board. However, in the future, there will be more members in a process that is currently under draft.

The EOS Alliance wants to have a fully elected board in the coming 12 months. The intention is to include members from different backgrounds, geographic regions and with representation of a variety of EOS community stakeholders and proposals.

It is important to mention that two observer seats will be available for representative to be selected by paid Block Producers. Until now, that mechanism has not been specified.

The EOS Alliance has an important funding for the first 90 days of operation. The Alliance will be funded with private donations in EOS tokens and registered on the EOS blockchain. In addition to it, the first six months will be key for the entity because they will create a sustainability plan that will start with donations, events, memberships, content, trainings and more.

The budget that the EOS Alliance is trying to reach is $1 million dollars per year. All the information will be publicly available to be controlled and reviewed.

There will be different working groups to outline and facilitate conversations about dispute resolution and arbitration, communications, code management, exchanges and many other topics.

The EOS Alliance formation is launching with the support of several Block Producers and other entities. We can mention EOS Bixin, EOS Dublin, EOS Nairobi, EOS Store, EOSSeoul, OracleChain, Worbli, and Saltblock.
