Mastercard launched Mastercard Crypto Credential on May 29, enabling users to send and receive crypto using simplified aliases instead of complex blockchain addresses, according to a press release.
A California judge dismissed a class action lawsuit against Apple that accused the tech giant of imposing restrictions on third-party crypto payments on March 26. District Judge Vince Chhabria said the complaint contained “several fatal problems,” including inadequately alleged agreements between Apple and other payment services.
It would be "the first ever truly decentralized web3 payment solution," allowing users to spend their crypto "on everyday purchases, everywhere cards are accepted," according to marketing materials CoinDesk reviewed.

Bitcoin payments firm Strike has expanded its services on a global scale, now allowing users in 36 countries (soon to be 65+) beyond the U.S. to buy bitcoin through the app, founder Jack Mallers announced in a blog post Thursday.
