Block One’s Game-Based Tutorial ‘Elemental Battles’ Teaches EOS Blockchain Coding

The firm behind EOS blockchain platform, Block.one, has announced the launch of ‘Elemental Battles’, a new tutorial for developing games on the EOS blockchain ecosystem. The tutorial is meant to offer an easy way to learn about EOS-based blockchain coding.

Platform To Benefit Developers With Knowledge Of C++ And JavaScript

As per the announcement, developers who understand C++ and JavaScript coding languages will benefit from the Elemental Battles, as the tutorial is designed to give them knowledge on how to build their fully-functioning blockchain version.

Speaking about the new tutorial, Block.one’s head of developer relations Serg Metelin said that:

“Much of the world’s existing digital infrastructure is based on C++ and JavaScript, and our tutorial is an entry point to blockchain and EOSIO for this community of developers. The objective of Elemental Battles is to enable these individuals to gain knowledge and skill in this area through a user-friendly interface.”

The course comprises of 8 separate lessons, with AI code and game logic validation and EOSIO smart contract development being two of the main lessons. The game features a card-based mechanism that allows playing of various user-selected cards, and a split screen.

This idea by Block.one is very innovative and most applicable way to teach developers looking to enter the blockchain industry. Considering the blockchain gaming offers a huge share of the blockchain market, the project will likely draw a great number of talent.

According to Sludgefeed, the entire blockchain gaming industry is forecasted to be worth a whopping $339.5 million by the end of the year, and likely to grow to $2.3 billion by 2021. When it comes to the EOS network, it’s likely that these statics will be fulfilled, considering that the platform has recorded considerable progress in blockchain gaming, with most of its dApp users being from its top games.
