Bitcoin SV [BSV] and its proponents have been in the limelight for some time now, mostly because of controversies surrounding the 8th ranked cryptocurrency. One major supporter of the cryptocurrency, Calvin Ayre, was back in the limelight after partnering with Squire Mining, a Vancouver-based mining firm.

Squire mining reported,

“Squire Mining Ltd. is pleased to announce that on May 29 it entered into a letter agreement with Calvin Ayre, Cunning Hams Limited and Tansley Equipment Limited  to directly or indirectly purchase all of the issued and outstanding shares of four corporations consisting of Cunning Hams, Tansley, Woodland Technology Group Inc and Laser Lollipop Limited which own and operate a fleet of cloud computing assets in Canada, the United States and China, representing approximately 2,985 petahash.”

Calvin Ayre will be handed 80 million units of common shares, with plans of creating a new class of shares in the pipeline. The release from the company also revealed that the partnership aims to create a leading blockchain business with one of the largest public portfolios of mining rigs. Post the partnership, Ayre tweeted,

“I now control the largest publicly traded #Bitcoin mining company in the world and it is dedicated to protecting mining as we know it by moving the world to massively scaling #BSV.  Expect to see me on Business news a lot more.”

Squire stated that the partnership was a way to diversify away from a single business purpose to inject a revenue-generating cloud computing operation and establishing a solid foundation for sustainable growth and returns. The mining company reasoned that it supports BSV’s roadmap and aims to enable massive on-chain scaling, outlining why scaling is an important aspect for the “entire interrelated Bitcoin ecosystem.”

Calvin Ayre further clarified about the partnership by saying,

“I should add…I still retain a private mining fleet that is also dedicated to saving mining as we know it by making original #Bitcoin #BSV the world’s global ledger and global money. It’s not too late to come join us make this all happen as its now inevitable that scaling wins.”
