Earlier in the week, there was another battle online when the Blockstream VP Warren Togami fired shots at Roy Murphy, who is a proponent of Bitcoin Cash. Roy is also a computer scientist that claims to be creating bCommerce solutions. In August, Roy Murphy made a claim on Twitter that all the founders of Bitcoin such as the developers and contributors had abandoned BTC and shifted their support to BCH.

On the issue of founders abandoning the Bitcoin, Togami had a clear response. He stated that Murphy’s claim was a display of lazy marketing fraud. According to Togami, Murphy was claiming to be a founder of Bitcoin without offering any proof. Besides that, Togami dropped a mock suggestion. He told Murphy to do better basic research before he attempted fraud.

Togami said that what Murphy was doing was obviously sock puppetry to raise his profile. According to him, Murphy was posting easily verifiable lies and would later claim to be the victim of personal attacks when the people pointed it out.

Nic Carter, another follower of the blockchain space a crypto enthusiast also aired his thoughts. He made a comment in support of Togami’s sentiment. Nic congratulated Togami for exposing Roy as a fraudster. He added that Roy was probably paid to pose as an early founder of Bitcoin. Nic concluded that exposing frauds was a lot of work it was worth the effort.

Blockstream is a company that deals with blockchain security. Adam Back heads the company. Earlier in the year, the company was alleged to hire a former US national spy called Bill Scannell. His job was to conduct secret intelligence and counter-intelligence operation in the Bitcoin world. Besides that, there were claims that Samson Mow, the CSO of Blockstream was often spotted hanging out with Scannell. As a result, allegations of the spying theory gained traction in the crypto sphere.

This is not the first time a Blockstream official has attacked Bitcoin Cash. In the recent past Togami fired shots at BCH. He has pointed out that it has a low hashrate and low confirmation of exchanges.

In a tweet, Togami clarified that the low hashrate of BCH might lead to a dangerous mining scenario where BCH would be easy to attack with a 51% attack. Besides that, he said that BCH only undergoes a single confirmation. This was as opposed to a scenario where six or more confirmations should be done at exchanges to avoid the issue of double spending.

In July, the BCH official Twitter handle responded to the CEO of Blockstream, Mr. Back. The account uploaded a screenshot that proved quite controversial. In the screenshot, Back was behind the owner of Bitcion.org, Cobra to acquire the online portal. Besides that, Back was also found to have stated that BCH was idiotic and centralized. In the screenshot, Back went on to state that the BCH was mainly being sold via brand confusion and misleading marketing practices.
