The open source Ethnamed has finally been deployed. It has been designed to include a wallet plugin that can be used on the Chrome browser; it is a protocol that has been made for securely storing data on the blockchain technology. But this is not all as it has a set of smart contracts that are being used to govern the interactions that are taking place between the different parties within the Ethereum mainnet.

The team behind the Ethnamed project has taken the platform for further testing, that is, it is undergoing the beta-testing stage before it will be able to deliver more of what is planned for the Ethnamed.

One of the primary goals for the company is the creation of a universal payment solution that has been designed with an option for sending funds, all you will need is the sender's email or just the nickname. The company said they refused the basic principles that are used on the Metamask ETH- wallet and the Ethereum Name Service DNS.

Instead, they opted to extend the whole idea to just using nicknames and emails to help eliminate the use of complex HEX addresses. Several crypto wallets use the complicated HEX address, as a result, such addresses make it very easy for a user to misspell and also extremely hard to memorize. Unlike the option of having a simple nickname or just an email.

And this is not all as the Ethnamed platform has been designed to allow users to link several wallets in the event that they have different blockchain networks that have been linked to one nickname or wallet.

Another feature that the platform is able to offer its users is the planned system where it is able to add new crypto coins to the existing portfolio that you have on your wallet. At the moment if you would like to interact with the crypto coins, you would need to download and also get familiar with a specific type of wallet software which has been specially designed for the crypto you are interested with.

But with the use of the Ethnamed platform, they have gone ahead to open a repository for the different pieces of code that is needed to work with particular coins.

The company has gone ahead to implement an automatic invoice creation; this is by integrating a web page with the use of the WEB3T interface, it is a little similar to the system that is used on the Metamask for ETH platform.

The platform does not stop here as there are big plans for future development. The roadmap for the company includes a proper implementation of technical means to integrate the wallet with exchanges.
